Youth Employment National Conference
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in cooperation with the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation and within the context of the “Youth Employment Generation Programme in Arab Transition Countries-Jordan Component”, financially supported by government of Japan the National Conference entitled “Youth Employment: “Challenges and Opportunities” as well to address a speech during the opening ceremony.
Through the above mentioned programme, UNDP is working with Ministries of Labor, and Planning and International Corporation, and the Higher Council for Youth, to promote youth employment opportunities.
As part of the programme activities, UNDP is organizing this event to bring together national and international expertise, and to initiate a policy dialogue on Youth Employment in Jordan.
The Conference will take place during the period 17-18 December 2012, at the Land Mark hotel/Amman.
• To initiate policy dialogue on youth employment at the national and local levels;
• To raise awareness on the Youth Employment opportunities in Jordan;
• To identify Youth Employment challenges and opportunities at the local level (within governorates), and the main issues hindering legal and organizational reform related to Youth Employment; and
• To agree on key steps to interpret conference conclusions into practical actions.
