To what extent is the “Youth Employment Generation Programme in Arab Transition Countries– Jordan Component” supporting the Government of Jordan in facing the unemployment challenge in Jordan?

The 2006-2015 Jordan National Agenda has addressed the structural employment problems in the country, calling for policies and programmes to amplify job creation with focus on Youth employment. The Jordanian Government has adopted an ongoing objective for the reduction of the overall unemployment rate in Jordan to 6.8% by 2017.

The Project is implemented by the UNDP in full coordination and cooperation with the Ministries of Labour, Planning and International Cooperation and the Higher Council for Youth.
